Karen Topakian

Without a doubt, Writing Salon classes have made me a better writer. From the fast-paced no-holds-bar Round Robin classes to the structured critique-focused fiction writing classes to the fun and funny humor writing classes, I have maximized my creativity to write more compelling prose.

The Writing Salon has proven a vibrant space in which to meet fellow writers. I have learned from some of the Bay Area’s most talented authors and have benefited immensely from their generosity of wisdom and spirit. The Round Robin is perhaps my favorite class — it has helped me keep my hand in the process even when life has been at its most hectic.
